We offer FREE Wifi to all of our our guests!
If you have any questions, we would love for you to reach out and let us know. We're confident that we'll be able to help you with anything our Lodge has to offer. Just fill out the form to the right, and we'll get back to you as soon as we can!
First we want to let you know that our lodge is accessible by car roughly from the middle of May to the end of November. In the Winter however, highway 14A is closed from Burgess Junction to Crystal Creek Rest Area. A pickup can be easily arranged with the lodge but only from Crystal Creek Rest Area, on the West side of the mountain, about 45 minutes from the town of Lovell. If you have your own tracked vehicle or snowmobile, you can park your vehicle at Crystal Creek Rest Area and ride into the lodge on your sled. Alternatively, guests can park their vehicles at Burgess Junction and then ride on groomed trails about 25 miles west to Wyoming High Country Lodge.
Take the Ranchester Exit off of Highway 90 (North of Sheridan) and follow Highway 14 West to Burgess Junction. There you take a right onto Hwy 14A, and continue on for about 20 miles. Turn Right on Forest Rd 13 and follow the signs to the lodge. If you pass Forest Rd 12 or the road to the Medicine Wheel you missed us by a half mile.
Take highway 14A East out of Lovell, WY. Go up the mountain and take a left onto Forest Rd 13 and follow the signs to the lodge. If you pass Bald Mountain Campground on the right, you have missed us by a 1/4 mile.
Start out from Lovell, WY and take Hwy 14A East. Give us a call when you turn onto Hwy 14A so we can gauge when to pick you up if needed (it will take about 45 minutes to travel from Lovell to the Crystal Creek Rest Area at the top of the mountain). You will stay on Hwy 14A all the way up the mountain - you will see a red and white barricade arm across the right half of the road but you need to go around it and continue on your way up. When you reach the Crystal Creek Rest Area parking lot, the road from then on will be closed and snow covered. We will meet you at the Crystal Creek parking lot in our Snow Cat to drive you the remaining 5 miles to the lodge. Our Pick Up/Drop Off fee is $50 per trip between 9am and 6pm. Pick Ups/Drop Offs outside of these times are only by staff discretion and will incur $150 service fee on top of the $50 transport fee. If you have trailered-in your own snowmobiles, you will be able to ride them the rest of the way to the lodge on Hwy 14A (LL trail) and take a left onto Forest Road 13 (M Trail) and we will be about a mile down on the right.
Use the same directions as in the Summer however you will have to park your truck at Burgess Junction as the highway is closed. It is then possible to take a snowmobile the remaining 24 miles along Highway 14A west (M trail) all the way to Forest Road 13, where you turn right and the Lodge is about one mile down on the right. We unfortunetly cannot do Pick ups or Drop Offs to this location.
There are 3 airports within relatively close proximity to the lodge. The largest airport is Billings International, and it is roughly a 2 hour and 30 minute drive to our lodge. Sheridan County Airport is a good option in the summer when highway 14A is open. The drive from Sheridan County Airport to the Lodge is only 1 hour and 15 minutes. Currently, there are 2 daily flights from Denver International Airport and both are very reasonably priced. Go to Flysheridan.com to book flights. Yellowstone Regional Airport in Cody, WY is another option with fewer flights however sometimes less expensive fares. The Yellowstone Regional Airport is roughly 1 hour and 45 minutes from the lodge.
Contact Billings Van and Shuttle at 406-256-9793. Rates are roughly $260 for a one way trip from the Billings International Airport. There is also an additional $5 per person fee. This option is usually more cost effective for groups of 4 or more.
